I have been inundated with messages from people asking which food processors work well when recreating our recipes and I would really love your help with answering. If you have a moment to leave a comment on this post stating what you use and if you would recommend it, myself and many others would be very grateful. Thank you. x


Raspberry And Lemon Slice

the lemon

  • 2 cups desiccated coconut
  • zest and juice of one lemon
  • 2 tablespoons almond butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey

the raspberry

  • 1 cup cashews
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil, liquid
  • 150 grams fresh raspberries
  • 1 tablespoon coconut milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt
  1. Place the cashews for the raspberry layer into a bowl and cover with boiling water. Set aside.
  2. Line a loaf tin with baking paper overhanging the sides for easy removal. Mine measures 19.5cm x 9.5cm.
  3. Place the lemon layer ingredients into your processor and blend until the mixture resembles a sticky crumb. Press the mixture firmly into your prepared tin.
  4. Drain the cashews and place them into your processor and blend until the mixture forms a paste. Add the remaining ingredients and blend until the mixture is smooth and well combined. Spoon the mixture evenly over your base and place in the freezer to set and store.
  5. Serve. Eat. Enjoy.

Yum, this sounds delicious!
I use the Breville Kitchen Whizz Pro and LOVE it, there’s nothing it hasn’t been able to do. I highly recommend it.

I have a Vitamix. It is the best kitchen tool I have ever bought. It can handle any of the blending recipes with ease. My only complaint is that it can take a little longer to clean up the thicker blends from around the blades.

I use the optimum 9400. The comparison between the optimum 9400 and the vitamix is just the price, check out froothie on YouTube if you want to do your own research.

I have the breville kitchen whiz pro and I love it, works really well for all your recipes, grinds everything down to a fine meal consistency. If I want a smooth silky texture I use my Russell Hobbs blender and soak the cashews etc for a little while or add a small splash of hot water and I never have any problems.

Made this yesterday and took to a BBQ and it was such a hit that I am making it again today to take to another Sunday afternoon get together!! Thank you Bianca for your beautiful recipes. Bought your books a few months ago and have made several different recipes from your books and they are all exceptional well received and super yummy. They are my go to books for anything I need to make to take to any event. Just YUM YUM YUMMY!!

I have a Breville Kitchen Whizz BFP 400 and it drives me mad – the blades are not close enough to the bottom so it misses lots and everything gets stuck to the sides immediately which makes for constant stopping and starting. Would NOT recommend!

A friend of mine posted on Facebook this morning, asking about Food Processors which reminded me I’ve been meaning to add this pic!
I used my Flybuys points to get these Philips Food Processor & Blender. I use them both pretty much every day & they’ve been great! You just have to make sure the bases are on properly otherwise you end up with mixture everywhere…I found out the hard way on more than one occasion 😛

I have a Thermomix, and have been using it constantly for over 5 years.
All your recipes I have tried so far Bianca have been beautiful and successful using the Thermomix. Love, love, love your books!

I’m not a massive fan of cashews, but this was actually really good. Everyone loved it and I’ve had requests to make more!

Hello. I have a breville kitchen whizz quad pro. I bought it in 2012. It is fine for chopping vegetables but not high powered enough to get fine results to make coconut butter or nut butters. Also the position of the blades cause the mixture to get pushed up the sides so you have to keep stopping it and scraping it down for even results. It is also heavy and hard to carry. I would not recommend it for recipes where you are required to chop nuts into puree a or pastes. I am also have a stick master with a base attachment from sunbeam and this is far better at chopping things –
Plus it is lighter and cheaper. I am actually looking at buying a vitamix to replace it. As the model is circa 2012 it may have changed? Hope this helps!

I have a Vitamix that I have had for 5 years. I use it for everything, everyday and does a great job on nut butters etc. Would thoroughly recommended it!

Best ever food processor is the Cusinart – as a raw food chef ours gets a huge workout and does a great job – heaps of awesome features!
You “can” try and use a high speed blenedr like a vitamix for food processoing tasks but to be honest a blender is for blending and a food processor is for processing – and that really is TWO very different tools x

I’m not sure why you always avoid answering this question. People want to know what YOU use. Your finished product seems much smoother and I’m guessing you use a thermo mix?
