Not Quite Ferrero Slice
the slice
2 cups hazelnut meal
1 cup desiccated coconut
3 tablespoons cacao or cocoa powder
4 tablespoons almond butter
2 tablespoons maple syrup
2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
pinch of salt
1 cup skinned hazelnuts
the topping
6 tablespoons cacao or cocoa powder
4 tablespoons coconut oil, liquid
3 tablespoons maple syrup
Line a square 20cm tin with baking paper over-hanging the sides.
Place the slice ingredients, excluding the skinned hazelnuts, into your processor
and blend until the mixture is well combined and sticking together. Press the
mixture into your prepared tin. Sprinkle over the hazelnuts and press them into
your base.

Place the topping ingredients into a bowl and mix to combine. Pour the mixture
over your slice, covering the hazelnuts.
Place the slice in the fridge or freezer to set and to store.
Slice. Serve. Eat and enjoy.
Makes 16 pieces.
note – place the slice in the freezer for 15 minutes prior to cutting.
