Nuts. They are delicious simply as they are. However every now and then it is nice to dress them up. This is a super quick and easy recipe that your kids will love, you will love, friends will love. This is a recipe for the young and old, these tasty little nuts are worth having in the fridge at all times. My family are mad for them.
1 cup almonds
1 cup pecans
1 cup walnuts
3 tablespoons butter or coconut oil
3 tablespoon maple syrup (optional)
2-3 teaspoons chinese five spice
Preheat your oven to 180 Degrees Celsius or 350 Degree Fahrenheit. Line a tray with baking paper. Evenly spread the nuts on the tray. Melt your fat of choice in the preheating oven, remove and mix in the maple syrup and spice. Pour mixture over the nuts, give it a gentle stir, sprinkle with salt and put in the oven to roast. After 8 minutes give the nuts a mix, continue checking every couple of minutes until golden and looking delicious. Allow to cool and store in the fridge. Enjoy!
