Imstead of a tea bag can you use the fennel seeds with water? Not thatbit makes a difference about tea its that I have that already in the house and can make them now imstead of waiting to go and buy the tea

Ooh, I must try these! I love all things liquorice-y, and have a mug or two of liquorice tea every day, but have never thought of mixing it with a chocolatey flavour! I’ll try soaking chopped dates in the tea, then mashing them, to make a “quick and quiet” recipe. I’ll report back… Love to Elise , I hope she’s made another friend at school xx

I made them and they were delicious, thank you! I never have medjool dates, so used chopped dried dates, soaked in the tea, then mashed them down. Very scrummy- not overly liquorice-y, but what some people would call an “intriguing ” flavour! One to do again and again, methinks! x

      • Thank YOU Wendy!! Loving your creativity! Glad you enjoyed them. x

    • Thank YOU Wendy! Lu is going great, as is Eamon and I am so sorry but I haven’t yet showed them the video, no excuse other than my usual scattered brain!
I too have been wanting to write to you but I don’t get onto the computer much these days. When I do I am exhausted and just do the bits I need to get done. Excuses I know! Anyhow you have been in my thoughts and I hope you are well. The sun is shining here and that makes me happy! Sending love. xxx

I lurve liquorice tea so am much intrigued by the sound of this recipe.
I am just wondering, are the pale coloured balls in the photo simple the same recipe without cacao added?
Thanks so much for sharing this with us. 🙂
