High Protein Chocolate Mug Cake

  • 2 tablespoons chocolate protein powder
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter
  • 3 tablespoons coconut cream
  • 1 teaspoon cacao or cocoa
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  1. Place the ingredients into a bowl and mix to combine. Pour the mixture into a mug or ramekin and place it into the microwave. Cook for 90 seconds.
  2. Cool slightly, eat and enjoy!

While my baby was sleeping I wanted to enjoy something chocolatey. I’ve had to stop eating dairy while breastfeeding (as little man is struggling with it) so a block of chocolate is out the window!
I knew your beautiful site would have something for me, and this was just what I felt like eating. Super easy and quick to make, it was very tasty. Next time I will need to make some diary free ice cream before hand to enjoy with it!

We only have plain protein powder. How would I go about adding extra cocoa to make it chooclatey without adding too much ‘dry powder’ to the recipe? Would I have to increase the coconut cream?
