As many of you know we recently released and started taking pre orders for our new book – Wholefood Simply Mixed. It is currently at the printers and we cannot wait to have the finished product. We will be dispatching the book in the first week of May.
I have had a few questions come in and thought it might be helpful to go over them here.
– Wholefood Simply Mixed does not contain any duplicate recipes from our first book Wholefood Simply Real Food Recipes.
– Wholefood Simply Mixed has a little bit of everything. There are some dinners, sweet and savoury snacks, a few breakfast ideas, and a scattering of desserts and treats.
– Our first book, Wholefood Simply Real Food Recipes is still available.
Wholefood Simply Mixed is available for pre order now and will be dispatched in the first week of May, with the hope that everyone who wants to, receives it in ample time for Mother’s Day.
I am incredibly grateful for the support and positive feedback I received with our first book, Wholefood Simply Real Food Recipes. I hope the sibling is loved every bit as much.
If you would like to further explore either of our books clicking on the image below will take you directly to their page.

We try not to get too carried away with chocolate at Easter, the kids seem to accumulate enough through school, parades and fabulous neighbours. I am a huge fan of mini treats. Tiny little bits and pieces scattered here and there. We love these Easter baskets, you can fill them with mini eggs or a mix of goji berries, raisins, flaked coconut, nuts and seeds. Whatever little delicacies your child enjoys. They are simple, tasty and a little bit fun.

Easter Baskets

1 cup desiccated coconut

1 egg white

1 tablespoon honey

Preheat your oven to 175 degrees Celsius or 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Place the ingredients into a bowl and combine them with a spoon, once they are roughly combined work the mixture together using your hands.  Press the mixture firmly into a silicon muffin tray, leaving an indent in the centre. I used a mini muffin tray, if you are using a standard size you may need to slightly increase the cooking time. Place the baskets into the oven and bake for 10 minutes or until nicely golden. Allow to cool before handling.

Enjoy.
