Cookie Dough Protein Balls
- 4 tablespoons peanut butter
- 2 tablespoons honey*
- 1/3 cup dark chocolate chips or 50 grams dark chocolate, finely chopped
- 1/3 cup vanilla protein powder
- 2 tablespoons almond meal
- Place the peanut butter, honey and chocolate into a bowl and mix to combine. Add the protein powder and almond meal and mix. Use your hands to work the mixture until it resembles a cookie dough consistency. Shape the mixture into balls and place in the fridge to set.
- Serve. Eat. Enjoy.
*you can use rice malt syrup if you prefer.

If I were to make these for my 2 and 4 year old what else could I use other than protein powder?
I used some Healthy Mummy smoothy powder I had on hand. Maybe you could use vanilla for flavour.

When I saw the cookie dough my mouth started to water…. mmmm love that cookie dough! but the first ingredient was peanut butter, such a dominant flavour… not that lovely vanilla i wanted. So decided to use almond butter and coconut flour. Turned out very nice and very vanilla!

Could you also make ‘soft’ cookies out of them?

I didn’t read the part about the protein powder before I started making these (whoops). Added 1 teaspoon of natural vanilla extract and double the almond meal and they worked out fab! Thanks for the recipe 🙂
