Quick and Easy Chocolate Granola

Chocolate Granola

  • 1 cup cashews
  • 1 cup almonds
  • 1/2 cup crushed peanuts
  • 1/4 cup currants
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup honey*
  • 1/4 cup cacao
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  1. Heat a frypan over over medium – high heat and gather ingredients. 
  2. Add the cashews and almonds to the pan and toast until becoming golden and fragrant, around 5 – 6 minutes. Add peanuts and toast for a further 2 minutes, stirring continuously. Turn off the heat and add the remaining ingredients, mix to combine.
  3. Leave the granola to cool.
  4. Eat and enjoy.

*you can use rice malt syrup if you prefer.
notes – 

  • Our favourite way to have this is straight up without adding a thing. It is a perfect on the go snack. However, we also enjoy it with yoghurt and berries or banana and peanut butter and over our homemade ice creams.
  • you can use dry roasted cashews and almonds and omit the first step if desired.
