When I created this recipe I was aiming to make something quick, easy, delicious and inexpensive. Something that would be relatively stable at room temperature and that could be given as gifts and loved by everyone.
I had no intention of making a Picnic.
My friends tried it, several of them, they all said “it’s a Picnic.”
So Picnic it is. Or at the very least a quick, easy and dangerously moreish variation.
A Quick, Easy and Clean Picnic Bar Recipe
- 100 grams dark chocolate*, melted
- 1 heaped teaspoon honey**
- 1 heaped teaspoon peanut butter
- 1/2 cup crushed peanuts
- 1/2 cup raisins
- Place the ingredients into a bowl and mix to combine. Spoon the mixture evenly into the holes of a mini silicon muffin mould and place the chocolates into the fridge or freezer to set.
- Eat and enjoy.
*I used 78%
**you can use rice malt syrup if you prefer.
