Some days are bright and light and full of joy and energy and laughter.
Some days are dark and hard and slow and painful.
It has taken me many years to realise that this is simply the ebb and flow of life.
It has taken me many years to realise that grasping onto one and doing all that I can to avoid the other is not the key to happiness.
It has taken me many years to realise that all things will pass. The happy, the hard. The simple, the sad. It all passes.
Attempting to hold onto one or push away the other is striving for the impossible.
But learning to embrace the rollercoaster of living peacefully, without judging the days as good or bad and by simply accepting what is and knowing it too will pass, that might just make the sun shine a little brighter and the heavy loads seem a little lighter.
