Caramel Milkshake

I have been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to play around with the fabulous Froothie Optimum Blender. The Optimum Blender is supplied by an Australian owned company that offers a variety of blenders at a variety of prices. What I love the most about this style of blender is the ability to see what you are doing. You can keep an eye on exactly where your ingredients are at without needing to switch off or remove the lid. The Optimum Blender has an impressive six blade assembly which I had not seen or used before. The Optimum Blender can tackle a vast array of kitchen tasks, from soups to smoothies, to nut butters and nut milks. You can further explore its capabilities here. We have been devouring this Caramel Milkshake which, despite the medjool dates and frozen banana, comes out silky smooth and truly delicious every time.

Caramel Milkshake

1 frozen banana, chopped*

6 medjool dates, seeds removed

1/2 cup coconut milk

1/2 teaspoon concentrated natural vanilla extract

1 cup water

Place all of the ingredients into your blender and blend at high speed until smooth. Serve, drink and enjoy!

*Peel your banana prior to freezing

I also noticed while browsing the extensive range of products on the Froothie website that they have put together this comparison chart which I thought may be of interest to many of you.

We are currently giving away an Optimum Blender on our Facebook page. Entry is simple! You can check it out here. The giveaway closes at 9:30am EST on Sunday 04.05.2014.

Does anyone know if you were to sub the coconut milk for dairy milk, would you still use the water?

    • https://wholefoodsimply.com/ Bianca Slade

I would omit the water and increase the milk. x
